3 Way Calling

3 way calling allows you to connect to 2 other phone numbers at the same time.

Have you ever wanted a friend talk to you and another friend at the same time? Well you can! 3-way calling is the best way to talk to two people at the same time.

  1. Tell the first person that you are going to do 3-way call on the phone.

  2. Press "Flash" or "Talk" depending on the phone.

  3. When you hear a dial tone, dial the number of the second person.

  4. Press " Flash" or "Talk" when the second person answers and all 3 people will be connected and free to talk.

  • To hang up with the second person simply hit "Flash" or "Talk" again and your phone call is reverted back to one-on-one. Then press "off" once you're done talking to the first person.

  • Don't take too long or the person who you were previously talking to will hang up or be bored.

  • Call someone that would talk to you and your friend.

  • If you do not hang up correctly, the second person may still be on your line or you may end up hanging up on all parties..

Things You'll Need

Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding (also called call diverting) is a feature that allows an incoming call to your number, which would be otherwise unavailable, to be redirected to a cell phone or other telephone number where the desired called party is situated. When call forwarding is activated, the forwarded line rings once, to remind the customer using call forwarding that the call is being redirected. More consistently, the forwarded line indicates its condition by stutter dial tone.

How to activate/deactivate call forwarding:

From the phone, dial *72, then the number where you want calls redirected. Example: *728142609336 will redirect all calls to that phone to 814-260-9336.

To Deactivate, dial *73, then either hang up or place a call normally.

Warning: Do not call forward the phone to itself.  This will cause a loopback condition and an interruption in phone service!

Online, log in to your account at Click the Settings menu on the left, then click Line. Enter the number you want calls forwarded to in the Divert all calls to: box, then click Save. To deactivate, log in, click Settings, then Line, remove the number from the text box, then click Save.

Caller ID

Caller ID (caller identification, CID, or more properly calling number identification) is a telephone service that transmits a caller's number to the called party's telephone equipment during the ringing signal, or when the call is being set up but before the call is answered. Where available, caller ID can also provide a name associated with the calling telephone number. The information made available to the called party may be made visible on a telephone's own display or on a separate attached device.

Enabling Caller ID

Caller ID is enabled on all phones in our system by default. No action is necessary.

Disabling Caller ID

Using *67 will disable caller name on an outbound call for that call only.

Call Waiting

Call waiting is a feature of Zito Media's telephone service. If a calling party places a call to your phone while you are on another call, and you have the call waiting feature enabled, you are able to suspend the current call and switch to the new incoming call (Typically, this is done by pushing the flash button), and can then negotiate with the new or the current caller an appropriate time to ring back if the message is important, or to quickly handle a separate incoming call.

Call waiting, then, alleviates the need to have multiple lines for voice communications. The signal to the called party is audible (a 440Hz beep every ten seconds). Zito Media uses *70 before a call to suspend call waiting for that call. A stuttered then regular dial tone confirms the de-activation.

Type II caller ID also works with call waiting.

Speed Dial

Speed Dial allows you to call your favorite phone numbers using only 3 keystrokes instead of dialing the entire 10 digit number. Speed Dial numbers must be set up online. You can log in to, click Settings in the left menu, then click Line.

Once the Line information comes up, scroll to the bottom of the page to the Other Options section and click on Speed Dials.

You can then review any existing Speed Dials, Delete existing Speed Dials, or add new Speed Dials.

To add an new Speed Dial, click on Add a new speed dial. The Speed Dial needs to begin with *, and should begin with 20 and go up. Be careful to avoid any other * codes used for different functions. You must add the telephone number you wish the Speed Dial to be associated with in the Destination textbox, and you may add a description as well. When you are finished, just click Save.
